Remedial Works
Defect rectification, waterproofing and structural repair for strata, owners corporations and commercial buildings — scoped, costed and certified, with clear risk allocation from day one.
Piper Moss is a Sydney architectural building practice. Forty years on the tools, an MBA Excellence award, and a single accountable team — drawn, considered, then built by the same hands.
Piper Moss is the Auld family practice. Forty years on the tools meets a design hand and an engineer's discipline — under one accountable team.
Founded by Stephen Auld after four decades as a builder in Sydney's east, the practice carries an MBA NSW Excellence award (2019) and a deep bench of repeat-client work. The studio took on its current shape in 2024 — Stephen alongside his sons Hubert (design and practice, previously Tillow Built) and Rufus (operations and accounts, civil-engineering trained).
The work is brief-led, drawn before it is built, and finished by the same hands that started it. Considered residential, complex remedial, careful commercial, fine joinery — under one licence, one practice, one accountable conversation from the first pencil line to handover.

Each service is delivered by the same studio — designer, builder, joiner, engineer in one accountable team. Click any card to start a conversation.

Six recent builds, by suburb and year. More on request — the work that doesn't surface here is the work clients prefer we don't post.

A father and his two sons. Stephen built it; Hubert draws and runs the practice; Rufus keeps the operation honest. The whole team is on every project.

The practice exists because Stephen built it. Forty years on the tools in Sydney's east, an MBA Excellence award in 2019, and a long bench of clients who came back twice. Still on site most weeks.

Hubert ran Tillow Built before bringing its design discipline into the family practice. He's the draftsperson, the brief-shaper, the one who reads the room with the architect. Carpentry-trained, drawn-led.
A civil engineer by training, Rufus keeps the programme honest, the books straight, and the structural conversations grounded. The one who runs the numbers before the saws come out.
Process, details, the things that make it on site but rarely make it onto a finished-shot grid.
A short note is enough. We'll respond within two business days and propose a first conversation — at the studio, on site, or on a call.
